SNOW
DAY ONE – DIG DAY – THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 2026
DAY TWO – BANKED SLALOM – FRIDAY, MAY 1, 2026
Banked Slalom at Mount Washington, Vancouver Island, BC
Camp in the parking lots at Mount Washington on Vancouver Island, build a DIY banked Slalom course and compete in the WestCoast Triple Plank Banked Slalom.
DIG DAY SCHEDULE:
Come a day early – Thursday, APRIL 30, 2026 Noon (or earlier) – 4 PM:
BYOS (Bring Your Own Shovel) Dig Day
PLEASE NOTE:
The lifts stopped spinning in early March – be ready to earn your turns. Mount Washington assists for a few hours with a snowcat, but the course relies heavily on the creativity of snowboarders. In 2022-2024, volunteers built 20-plus banked walls and berms, leading into a bowl and a small tabletop, and a hip popped up just past the finish line for “mandatory good times only.”
What is the best part about volunteering? You can scope the course and session it before “race day.”
You do not want to miss sessioning the park features that Ben Bilocq comes out to build.
Before You Go: What You Need to Know
Waiver Required on Dig Day / Race Day:
If you're heading up the hill for Dig Day, you must sign a waiver. Already registered? You’re still not covered, and will have to fill out a form at the base of the mountain to ride the lifts. AND if you're bringing your partner, your kids, your roommate, your cousin's friend’s uncle, or your spry 89-year-old grandma — yep, they need to sign too.
No signature, no shovel time, and no sessioning hip time.
Same rules apply for Race Day.

We’re excited to announce that YETI is bringing their massive Texas-style smoker to the WestCoast Triple Plank! The YETI 767 Mobile Smoker is a custom-built beast, capable of cooking up to 1,000 pounds of mouthwatering barbecue at once. It's a perfect match for the good vibes and even better food we’re serving up this year!
Join us for free meals for all participants and volunteers:
Mount Washington (Friday, May 1st) – Enjoy a breakfast wrap on registration day.

A huge thank you to their incredible team for helping us move the course to the top this year.
Lift & Lodge Info:
Whiskey Jack Chair will be running:
Thursday (Dig Day): 10:00am–4:00pm

Lodge hours: 7:00am–5:00pm both days

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ & SHARE:
The chair is upload only (no download access). At the end of each day, everyone will need to ride down to the base and walk the short final stretch back (about 5 minutes to the lift or parking lot). You’ve got this. 💪
Conditions are variable with rocks and holes starting to show—please ride with care and awareness.
Please check the forecast ahead of time and come prepared for a full day on the hill with all essentials (food, water, sunscreen, extra layers, etc.). Let’s also leave no trace, pack out what we bring in, pick up any litter we see, and help bring gear down when possible. This only works if everyone pitches in.
We’re also excited for an awesome parking lot hang on Dig Day evening, featuring an axe throwing contest presented by Garant Tools. The YETI smoker crew will be back serving breakfast on registration morning, and the Worn Wear team from Patagonia will be onsite doing gear repairs, along with free coffee from Gradient Coffee Co (thanks to Patagonia Vancouver).
