No, you don’t have to. You can compete in just the Banked Slalom or do all three, the trifecta) or just come and cheer people on.
Everyone participating in all three divisions will automatically be entered for the most sought-after title: “The Trifecta Award”

Camping in the parking lot of Mount Washington is free and encouraged.
